Ila Daniels has 15 years of experience in planning and resource management and has held management positions in private and public organisations within both New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Ila’s broad experience covers a wide range of planning work principally within the public sector meaning she is well placed to assist in leading the process and project management of applications through the statutory process, including, resource consent lodgement and assessment, notices of requirement, outline plan of works, hearings, policy formulation, community engagement and public consultation. Ila has practised in both private and public organisations. Ila has been closely involved in a number of large-scale infrastructure and development projects in New Zealand and London including, East London Line Extension Project, London Cycle Hire Scheme, Auckland Council’s Housing Project office which included the project management of a number of Special Housing Areas in particular, the Tamaki Redevelopment Area and Hobsonville Point.
Ila has excellent skills and experience in building relationships and rapport with the officers at both central and local government, private consultancy, public bodies and local communities.
Ila has held senior planning and management positions in local government, in planning fields, and has extensive knowledge of local government management, systems and processes.
Ila has extensive experience in project managing large urban development areas in terms of consenting strategy.
Ila has experience in negotiating and securing higher density housing and subdivision consents and has direct experience in dealing with affordable housing under HASHAA.
Ila has a strong network of contacts at Auckland Council from her roles over the last 5 years and she is able to assist with a wide range of local government issues.
