Her career has centred on local government planning, where she has led multidisciplinary teams, worked closely with applicants, and managed complex resource consent and policy processes. Ali’s expertise spans a wide range of projects, including oil and gas production, commercial and residential developments, and urban, rural, and coastal subdivisions. She is valued for her practical, solutions-focused approach and her ability to navigate complex planning environments with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.
Outside of work, Ali loves to travel with her husband and daughter and has visited over 30 countries so far. She’s also a keen opshopper, bookworm, and writer, and she rarely misses a daily beach walk.
