Toitū Net Carbonzero Recertified

We are proud to take science-based action to sustain the life of this place, our people and our future.

Our current footprint is 7.50 tCO2e (tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalents), which is 11% lower than last year’s total of 8.40 tCO2e. A reduction in emissions intensity of 0.30 tCO2e/$M has been achieved based upon a 2 year rolling average.

While we take action to reduce emissions, we are proactively offsetting our impacts through the purchase of carbon credits from International Projects like the Amayo Phase II Wind Power Project in Nicaragua which has the additional benefits of increased renewables onto their national grid, technology transfer, employment and economic growth.

This is the continuation of our carbon reduction journey, as we work to do our part to keep global temperatures within a 1.5°C increase.
