2023 RMA calendar

The Resource Management Act (RMA) sets mandatory timeframes for a number of processes carried out under the legislation, to ensure that the planning processes are efficient and avoid unnecessary delay. These timeframes are measured in ‘working days’, which are defined as weekdays excluding specified public holidays and excluding an extended period over Christmas. The RMA calendar applies the working days to the current calendar year to provide a convenient way of calculating the timeframes for particular RMA processes.

There may well be a slightly different calendar next year with the RMA reforms!
