Waitemata Table Tennis Stadium, Waitakere, Auckland

The stadium building comprises a total floor area of 1,400m2, accommodating up to 12 playing tables. The building also includes ancillary facilities such as changing rooms, a lounge, kitchen, office and a mezzanine spectator viewing area.

Our proposal involved the consideration of a wide range of environmental issues including visual effects, noise effects, traffic effects and residential amenities. A challenge for the project was ensuring the facility integrated seamlessly with the surrounding public parkland, through landscape design and careful consideration of access.
